The kids and I ended with a trip up to Arkansas to see my parents, brother, niece and grandparents for a week and then headed over to Oklahoma to see our dear friends there. Most people think I am crazy and can't believe I did this trip alone (those people must not know me very well;)) I am happy to report that both the trip up and home went perfect!! My kids were angels and did it all without watching a single minute of television!!! That I am proud of. The trips themselves were pure bliss. We had such a fun time with my family and visiting with my niece- she is so cute!!! We even had a birthday party for all the kids while we were there since we won't be with our family and the kids really LOVED that!! They got cash from Grandma, Grandpa, Nana and Papo so we took them to Toys R Us one day and they had a blast. We even got to go meet Dora the Explorer at the library one day. My brother took Holden fishing one day. My dad took Holden to watch a University of Arkansas football practice- he thought that was so cool. My mom and I got away for some girl time and massages. I got to go get my nails done. And we just got to hang out and visit with our awesome family!!
Oklahoma was too short of a trip we were unable to see many of our friends this time, but promise we will stay longer and see you all next time!! We were able to see a few of our closest friends. We are blessed to have such amazing family and friends!! We played with The Freddy's whom we love and adore. We swam a ton since The Avedon's just got a pool it is GORGEOUS- just like their family we love you guys and home!! We all got our hair done by the BEST girl ever Miss Bekah- not only amazing at hair but such an amazing person. Grandma Rita came over to see us twice we REALLY miss her too. The kids went bowling with Brandon and Rachel while I was getting my hair done and had a blast. The bowling alley was trying to beat the world record of the most games bowled in a single day. Spent some much needed time with Callies best buddy and mine to the Ehrhart family- LOVE them they are family to us!!!
I am also sad to say there was a mix up with pictures from our trip to Arkansas and Wal Mart not putting them on the disc they were supposed to so we have no photos from that part of our trip:(((. There were so many cute ones of the cousins together and family.
From the moment we have come home we have been going. Cheer leading is in full swing and football has also started at four times a week!!! School starts on the 22nd we just got our teacher assignments last Friday and are THRILLED of who Kailyn & Holden got! We had Holden's meet the teacher yesterday and he is BEYOND ready and thrilled!! Today we will go meet Kailyn's teacher and see her classroom- her class and Holden's are only two doors apart that made me so happy!! We celebrated our baby Callie's third birthday on Yesterday- I will update and write about that soon! We are having a little party at the park Saturday with a few of her friends:).
This week we have had lots play dates with our friends and hit the pool to take advantage of our last week of summer vacation. It has been a busy summer with lots of wonderful memories. I am always ready for summer to end to get back into a routine and by the time it's summer again I am ready to have a break from routine!
