Summertime is in full swing here at the Ripp house. We now officially have a first grader, kindergartner and preschooler in our home. Kailyn ended Kindergarten with a luau party and had a wonderful first year of school even with her many changes she handled it with grace and ease as she does everything. Holden asks me everyday when he gets to start Kindergarten I would say both he and Callie are more than ready to hit the school scene.
We started our summer break with a visit from my Grandpa Pat. He was here for a week and we had a wonderful time. Holden had football camp so Grandpa was able to spend some time with the girls which was nice because usually when he visits Kailyn is in school. We went to the pool so he could watch the kids jump off of the diving board. We went and saw Kung Fu Panda 2 followed by the kids favorite gelato at Hubbell & Hudson. We went to the gym so he could watch Kailyn & Holden climb the rock wall. We finished up his visit with a trip down to the Houston Children's Museum- the kids had a BLAST.
We did have some sad news during the week when Chip's grandma Rita passed away at the age of 94- a true inspiration to anyone a Saint in her own right. A beautiful woman on so many levels. May I aspire to be and accomplish a fraction of what she was and all that she represented. Loving and merciful God, we entrust our Rita to your mercy. You loved her greatly in this life: now that she is freed from all its cares, give her happiness and peace for ever. The old order has passed away; welcome her now into paradise where there will be no more sorrow, no more weeping or pain, but only peace and joy with Jesus, your Son, and the Holy Spirit for ever and ever. Amen
June is our month of family visitors and we LOVE it!!! We now have four days to re-clean and prepare the house for Chip's parents to come for a visit!!!! We are SO EXCITED we can hardly contain ourselves. We feel so blessed and loved that people are willing to make the trip out to us- we appreciate it so much after moving AGAIN:)
We are also taking full advantage of the outdoor lifestyle here with lots of bike riding, running, swimming, parks and walks. I will admit I think I really like it here in The Woodlands Texas!!! It is the right place for our family we all are so happy! Can't ask for much more in life than that!
