One little slip like that could cause the Great Pumpkin to pass you by. Oh, Great Pumpkin, where are you?

As our tradition every year we made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. This year it was somewhere new so the excitement and wonder of how it would be filled us all. Then what should pop up in my email? A Groupon (Yes I am addicted I LOVE Groupon) for a Pumpkin Patch so I bought it right away. We headed over after football one Saturday and it was WONDERFUL!!!This was by far the best pumpkin patch we have experienced since leaving California. Through all of our moves we have had different experiences and I must say experiencing things in California first has made it unfair to everywhere else we have lived. At first I would be really disappointed, but now I realize we do our best with what we have and all of us being together and enjoying our memories together is what matters. So the place we went here is called Dewberry Farm and it really was cool. They had a huge play structure for the kids to play on, roller slides, rope swinging into hay, jumping off hay bales, cow train, corn maze and pig races (Chip even got picked to help call the pigs)!! We let the kids choose one of the activities that were "extra" and they no surprise chose the bounce pillows- just like a bounce house but off of the ground. The afternoon was perfect except for the fact it was 100 degrees. When we took the wagon ride out to pick our pumpkins they let us know that because of the drought this year they were not able to grow their own pumpkins so they had to have them shipped in- this part was a little sad, but we understood what could they do? I hope to go back to Dewberry Farm next year for our annual Texas pumpkin patch tradition! So happy we found this gem in our new home!!!
